Happy Birthday Pops! A bunch of awesome videos from a UK bball site

HoopsFix, a British basketball site, made sure we don't forget Pops Mensah-Bonsu's birthday of Sept. 7. Pops was a star forward for the great GW teams form 2002-2006 and is best described as "explosive": huge dunks, huge blocks, huge energy. They have a great post with a ton of videos of Pops doing awesome stuff.

The King Whale Killer (as his name translates from the Twi language) has had a nice career: he played for a few teams in the NBA (and was a big hit in Toronto,) was MVP of the NBA D-League All-Star Game, played for the Great Britain Olympic team, was brought in for one game to make sure Granada didn't get relegated, and was named "the Hero of Granada," and then had a great season in Turkey, helping his team win the Turkish league champioship, the Turkish Cup, and the EuroChallenge league. In Turkey, he filled his trophy case, getting named Finals MVP, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and European Player of the Year. Not bad. He has since been singed by Maccabi Tel Aviv, one of the best European teams (they play in Europe despite being in Asia.)

Anyway, here's a video Maccabi made for him:
