The Athletic Department is killing it recently. There's already been the great ESPN articles about Mike Lonergan calling GW his "dream job," and they are continuing to do awesome, clever stuff.
For example, it was recently announced that the team will be taking the Metro to the BB&T Tournament on December 4th against VCU, rather than rent a bus.
This got picked up by the Washington Post's DC Sports Bog, which was then picked up by USA Today and Yahoo Sports.
I can't be happier about this, so great to see the university doing cool and novel stuff to get us some press. I will certainly be on that train when it happens.
Of course, the GWHoops crowd, while happy, had other ideas. Why not walk? Why not do Capital Bikeshare instead? Come on guys, they're already in the national news.
