DeCourcey: "A few A-10 teams are out of their league"

And he's absolutely right. While not mentioning GW as one of the top teams in the conference, the Sporting News' Mike Decourcey makes the argument that the A-10 should dump some teams. He calls out Bonaventure, La Salle and Richmond, though I actually think he should be talking about St. Bona's and Duquesne and maybe La Salle and Fordham. At least the last two serve major markets and have had success in the past. Anyway, it's good to see some national press talking about the A-10's sorry state, with a steadily dropping conference RPI.

Get rid of Richmond, St. Louis, Charlotte, and LaSalle. Three teams in Philly is too much and the rest don't make a ton of geographic sense.

I disagree. Richmond isn't that far away and could be a natural rival to us, and they've had success in the recent past. St. Louis and Charlotte are both better known teams, and SLU just got Majerus, another reason not to dump them. They're far away, but oh well. La Salle is bad though.
