GW faces Maryland today at 6:30pm: here's what you need to know

It's a big day! The Colonials visit beautiful College Park, Maryland today to face the #21 Terrapins. It's the first time GW has played UMd since 2013, when Maurice Creek hit the game winner in the BB&T Classic.

It's awesome to see the two geographical rivals playing again after a long gap. Most of the matchups recently between GW and UMd have been in the BB&T Classic tournament, which no longer exists.

Ricky Lindo, Jr. transferred from Maryland, so I bet he's excited to come back. In GW's season opened Lindo had 17 points, 9 boards, 6 blocks and 3 steals. I hope he does it again.

Notes:  This is GW and Maryland's 69th meeting (nice) and the first time GW has played Maryland on their campus since 1979. GW is 32-36 all time against the Terps. This year Maryland is 1-0 with a win over Quinnipiac.
