Men's hoops still on pause, games canceled at least until Feb. 17

GW is still going through a COVID-related pause, with the Atlantic 10 announcing today that Saturday's GW game at La Salle is canceled.

The Colonials haven't played since a loss to Dayton on January 20th, which was played at George Mason. There have been six GW games postponed since then. That's on top of the two games postponed earlier in January due to the assault on the Capitol and curfew in town and a positive COVID test.

The good guys did manage to sneak in games on January 13th and 17th before Coach Jamion Christian tested positive, leading to this extended pause.

That means the next possible game is February 17th at home against St. Joe's, but I wouldn't be surprised if that is canceled too. It's not known if other people tested positive in the meantime.

Fingers crossed -- I hope any cases are mild and folks feel better soon, with no lasting effects.
