So the season's over -- more on that to come. But in the meantime, check out these great videos GW made on the 4 graduating seniors, Tony Taylor, Aaron Ware, Jabari Edwards and Michael Conward. Nice to see this kind of thing from GW, and I wish all four the best. A lot of fun memories.
Taylor: "Tony has enjoyed one of the finest all-around careers for a guard in GW basketball history. He entered his final home game just 11 points shy of GW's career Top 20 in scoring and ranks fourth all-time in assists. He joins Shawnta Rogers as the only Colonials with more than 1,300 points and 400 assists in their careers, and joins Rogers, Carl Elliott and Alvin Pearsall as the only GW players to lead their team in assists for four seasons. Tony will graduate from GW this spring with a degree in psychology and minor in health and wellness."
Ware: "A consistent leader on and off the court throughout his four seasons, Aaron will made his 119th consecutive appearance in the Buff and Blue on February 29, 2012, joining teammate Tony Taylor in not missing a single game in their careers. Earlier this season, he was chosen to the CBE Classic All-Tournament Team after scoring in double figures in all three games and helping the Colonials to three victories in as many days. Aaron will earn his degree in sociology with a minor in health and wellness in May."
Edwards: "Jabari has enjoyed a banner final season at GW with single-season career highs across all categories, including 45 blocks, which ranks seventh in the Atlantic 10 and 85th in NCAA Division I. He enters his final home game with 111 career blocked shots, which ranks sixth all-time in program history. After completing his bachelor's degree in psychology last spring, Jabari earned Athletic Academic Dean's List honors this past fall and is set to receive a master's in education and human development this May."
Conward: "Michael walked on to the men's basketball team during his freshman year and has remained committed to the Colonials the past four seasons. He's appeared in seven games in his career, and scored baskets in victories over UMBC and Fordham as a sophomore during the 2009-10 campaign. Michael earned Athletic Academic Dean's List honors last spring and will continue his studies in GW's five-year mechanical engineering program next year."
