GW baseballer drafted

The Hatchet reports that senior shortstop Michael Parker was taken by the Mets in the 24th round of the MLB draft. Parker started all 55 games, batted .373 with 10 homers and 60 rbis, good for second and first on the team, respectively. He did have 21 errors though. Here's his stats.

GW's had some success in the past with the MLB draft, as two players, Dan Pfau and Derrik Lutz were taken last year, and class of 2002 pitcher Mike O'Connor plays for the Nationals, though he's currently on the disabled list. Plus there's former Yankee, Red Sox, Tampa Bay and everybody else John Flaherty and now ex-Orioles manager Sam Perlozzo.
