LeBron James talks about playing against former GW star Maureece Rice in high school

This is cool: LeBron James talks to the Philadelphia Tribune about his battle with former GW star guard Maureece Rice in high school. Rice is the all-time leading scorer in Philly high school history, topping Wilt Chamberlain's record. He was a key cog in the Colonials' 2005-06 and 2006-07 NCAA tournament teams.
“He’s [Maureece Rice] the all-time leading scorer in Philadelphia history past Wilt Chamberlain,” James said. “We knew we had our hands full trying to shut him down. We didn’t want to lose. We knew all about him.”
LeBron's St. Vincent-St. Mary's High in Akron visited Philly to play Strawberry Mansion, one of the top teams in the country. LeBron's team won but Rice is remembered for an ankle-breaking crossover on King James. Check out that crowd!

Here's some more highlights from the game.

Rice was kicked off GW towards the end of his senior year. He later played in the D-League and overseas.
